Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry for changes in patient condition
Administer medications and titrate critical drips like Cardizem and beta-blockers
Provide evidence-based care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, and stroke conditions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver top-notch patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for patient safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact license accepted)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Positive attitude, great communication, and a team-player mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
IV therapy and medication administration, including titratable drips
Comprehensive patient assessment and care planning
Competence in continuous EEG monitoring
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
