End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to med-surg and ER patients
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with efficiency and compassion
Titrate medications and manage drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, levophed
Start IVs and maintain PICC/Port access
Participate in code situations for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis emergencies
Respond to traumas and facilitate transfers to higher level of care when needed
Float seamlessly between MedSurg and Emergency Department
Read and document EKG strips using Mindray monitors

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required
Must have ER experience
Experience with med-surg patients preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal staff
Comfortable titrating drips and reading EKG strips

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and quick decision-making
Ability to handle high-stress situations
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with Meditech EMR
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations
Team collaboration with limited staffing
