Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-level critical care to premature and critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU with 71 beds
Manage patients with cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical needs, ECMO, and cooling protocols
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with strict sterile technique
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, respiratory therapists, and NICU pharmacists 24/7
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed, caring for newborns exclusively

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required (busy Level 3 experience may be considered)
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE plus preferred
Must pass a hands-on SIMs lab including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry
Expertise in sterile field maintenance and central line care
Competent in lifts, restraints, and wound care
Strong understanding of neonatal ventilation (RT managed) and high-risk delivery support
