Location: Tacoma, Washington

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Thursday, 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM (potential to float to St Francis, St Clare, St Anthony)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and follow-ups for acute inpatient and outpatient settings
Perform communication evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Administer standardized tests in the outpatient clinic
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Provide patient education and family training for home strategies

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
COVID vaccination required (exemptions considered if applicable)
At least one year of recent experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
Ability to float to multiple facilities within CommonSpirit system

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in bedside swallow evaluation and follow-up
Proficient in communication evaluation and treatment
Skilled in outpatient standardized test administration
Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Knowledge of acute care and outpatient rehab processes
