Location: Sacramento, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied 8-hour day shifts (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM start), plus overnight call once a week and weekend call approximately 3 days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a wide range of cardiovascular surgeries including CABG and valve procedures
Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all instruments and supplies are ready
Hand off instruments and equipment to surgeons with precision and efficiency
Monitor and interpret EKG strips during procedures as needed
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a fast-paced, high-quality OR environment
Float to other Sacramento facilities as needed (rare occurrence)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
BLS certification required (must be current)
NIHSS certification required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Must be confident, adaptable, and thrive in a busy CVOR setting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Experience with Cerner EMR system
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Capable of handling a high-volume OR with 8-10 surgeries per day
