Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain a sterile field in the cardiovascular operating room
Assist surgeons during complex procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and inventory
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and respond quickly during critical moments

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand for long periods and handle high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

Deep understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and adapt quickly
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures
