Location: Bismarck, ND

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with rotating weeknight and weekend call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

First scrub on open heart surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, and aneurysm repairs
Assist with thoracotomies, VATS, robotic cases, and vascular procedures
Cross-train to general OR specialties when CVOR volume is low
Float to patient floors to serve as a 1:1 sitter when needed
Participate in on-call rotation for weeknights and weekends
Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and supplies

Qualifications

Two years of recent CVOR experience required
Must hold current BLS certification
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification required
North Dakota UAP certification required
Willingness to cross-train and float to other units as needed
Ability to respond to call within 15 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in open heart procedures (CABG, valves, aneurysms)
Experience with robotic surgical systems (ION, Stryker)
Knowledge of ECMO, Impella, and other cardiac assist devices
Strong sterile technique and first-scrub skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
