Location: Omaha, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac and vascular patients in a dynamic 18-bed CVU
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including amio, nitro, nicardipine, and epinephrine
Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary team to deliver intermediate care
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient conditions
Educate patients and families on cardiac diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiovascular or intermediate care patient population
Driver's license required for determining distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Titration of cardiac medications for blood pressure management
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
Ability to manage 1:4 or 1:3 patient ratios with varying acuity
