Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including days and nights, with every other weekend required. Typical shift times include 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg unit
• Monitor and manage patients on critical drips including heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers for holistic patient care
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
• Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR system

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PCU, oncology, or med/surg nursing experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Must possess current ACLS, BLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• Ability to pass an open-book orientation exam with a 90% score
• Driver's license required for radius verification
• No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
• Skill in administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Adaptability to floating between units and patient populations
• Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
