Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day or night, every other weekend, schedule varies

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, monitoring, and support during childbirth
Assist with deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean, in a 15-bed LDRP unit
Administer medications and titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia as needed
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, adhering to AWHONN guidelines
Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Collaborate with a dedicated team in a Blue Distinction+ facility known for high patient experience scores

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent labor and delivery experience
Active RN license required
BLS and NRP certifications required
Current driver's license required for verification of radius rule
Ability to pass an open-book exam on clinical skills during orientation with a 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in managing OB emergencies and titratable drips
Compassionate patient-centered care approach
