Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes various shift lengths, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population with oncology and trauma diagnoses
Monitor and manage PCU and MedSurg patients with ratios of 1:4 and 1:5
Administer chemotherapy and titrate drips like heparin and cardizem
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed to support team
Ensure hourly rounding and patient experience excellence

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
Valid driver's license required at submittal
Must live outside 50 miles from facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity
Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

ACLS and BLS certification required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Comfortable with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (can train)
Strong teamwork and positive attitude
