Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU environment
Monitor and manage IV drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Administer chemotherapy (if certified) and support patients through diagnosis to remission
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, social workers, and case managers
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and ensure hourly rounding for patient experience
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as needed to support team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and/or Oncology experience
ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA
ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
Willingness to obtain chemotherapy certification if not already held
Must reside outside 50 miles from Omaha (no local candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in EPIC EMR
Proficient in titration of insulin and cardizem
Understanding of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Ability to float to med/surg and other PCU units
Strong teamwork and communication skills
