Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts with call rotation; every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic x-ray exams on patients of all ages using GE and Toshiba equipment
Ensure high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with radiologists and lead techs to deliver accurate results
Handle a high-volume workload of up to 100 scans per day in a fast-paced setting
Float to Mercy Southwest (approx 6.5 miles) as needed for coverage
Participate in call rotation with a 30-minute response time

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Current ARRT certification required
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Ability to start IVs? Not required for this role
Willingness to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR systems
Experience with GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
Skilled in performing brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremity studies
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable to floating between facilities
