Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population including CHF, diabetic complications, pneumonia, COPD, and post-operative patients
Monitor and manage titratable drips such as Heparin and Bumex as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Assist with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in coordination with CCU staff
Float to other departments as a helping hand and cross-train when possible
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or ability to obtain Oregon 90-day Emergency License
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience in general medical-surgical nursing, including care of pediatric patients if needed
Ability to titrate drips infrequently and manage common medications like Heparin and Bumex

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for managing a variety of diagnoses
Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and reading strips
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient assignments and floating requirements
