Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients in a 28-bed mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions; titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem and insulin
Float to med/surg and other PCU units as needed to support patient care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dieticians
Perform hourly rounding and ensure a positive patient experience
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and operate Alaris IV pumps

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
Chemotherapy certification preferred, but not required
BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required
ONS/ONCC certification required
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license required at submittal; must be outside 50-mile radius from facility
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
Competency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to care for diverse patient populations with respect and compassion
