Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, including monitoring maternal and fetal status, titrating medications like magnesium and oxytocin, and assisting with deliveries
Manage postpartum recovery for both mother and baby, providing couplet care and education
Collaborate with a cohesive team in a rural hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes
Assist with neonatal resuscitation and support for newborns requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow oxygen
Float to other units as needed for helping hands or 1:1 patient sitting
Utilize OB Trace Vue electronic fetal monitoring system

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Ability to titrate drips and manage labor and postpartum medications
Comfort working independently in a rural hospital with limited resources
Must pass fit testing requirements for N95 respirators

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Strong knowledge of labor and delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
Adaptability to float to other departments as needed
