Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 day and 1830-0700 night, every third weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Circulate in the OR during C-sections and assist with deliveries
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
Perform newborn assessments and routine baby care
Float to postpartum unit as needed to care for mothers and infants
Triage patients over 20 weeks gestation with pregnancy complaints
Titrate drips such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocol

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with ability to circulate in OR
Valid driver's license to verify distance from facility
Willingness to float to postpartum and occasionally as a sitter

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring (EFM) and AWHONN guidelines
Skilled in newborn assessment and routine baby care
Ability to titrate IV drips including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced unit
Knowledge of OB triage and high-risk pregnancy care
