Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including fetal monitoring and medication administration
• Attend and manage low-risk deliveries independently, and assist with high-risk deliveries
• Circulate during cesarean sections and support the surgical team
• Transition newborns and provide immediate postpartum care
• Titrate IV drips such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin as ordered
• Float to mother-baby and postpartum units to provide couplet care when needed
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and anesthesia providers in a 24/7 in-house setting

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent L&D experience (1 year considered with multiple travel assignments)
• Active RN license in Washington or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Must have LDRP experience and be comfortable attending deliveries and circulating in c-sections
• Intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring preferred
• Ability to titrate common obstetrical drips

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal heart monitoring interpretation
• Skilled in high-risk obstetrical care and emergency procedures
• Comfortable with c-section circulator role and newborn transition
• Knowledge of obstetrical medications and IV therapy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborative care
