Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 shifts per week, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and stepdown PCU units.
Titrate and monitor intravenous drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, and propofol.
Float between ICU (24 beds) and PCU (26 beds) as needed to ensure optimal staffing.
Collaborate with charge nurse and hospitalist/intensivist team for patient management.
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms at bedside and central monitoring station.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of critical care experience
Experience with titrating IV drips in ICU setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care nursing skills
Proficiency in managing cardiac patients (post CABG, PCI, sepsis, DKA, respiratory failure)
Competency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float between ICU and PCU
