Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 06:30 - 18:30 or 18:30 - 06:30, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU, managing trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress patients
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation per protocol
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors
Manage ventilators and high-flow oxygen therapies
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Nurse Aides and Healthcare Support techs
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed with typical ratios of 1:4 or 1:5

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% score

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating drips and ventilator management
Telemetry interpretation and documentation
Trauma and cardiac care
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
