Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotations

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across multiple ERs in the zone
Float between facilities as needed, ensuring coverage and continuity of care
Triage patients, assess acuity, and initiate emergency interventions
Administer medications, start IVs, and perform point-of-care lab testing
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret rhythms independently
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and techs in a fast-paced environment
Maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of ER experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile radius zone across multiple facilities
Comfortable with telemetry interpretation and independent strip reading

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Skilled in point-of-care lab testing and standard ER procedures
Knowledge of common ER diagnoses: abdominal pain, DM, NSTEMI, trauma, stroke, HTN
Ability to manage drips and standard ER medications
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a floating environment
