Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, and pediatric cases
Perform triage, assessment, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Administer medications and manage intravenous drips such as Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, and sedation agents
Respond to codes and rapid responses as needed
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses to support staffing needs

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start
Experience in a Level III trauma center or similar volume setting
No direct employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the past year (including PRN through outside firms is acceptable)

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac life support and dysrhythmia interpretation
Pediatric and trauma nursing skills
Stroke care and Thrombolytic administration
Proficient in EMR systems such as PulseCheck or Picis
Ability to adapt quickly to different campuses and floating assignments
