Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week, with call rotation (weeknight 1x/week and weekend 1 weekend/month from Fri evening to Mon AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $97 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab including cardiac, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro cases
Monitor hemodynamics and administer conscious sedation under direction
Scrub in for procedures and assist with procedural processes
Manage airway and cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors
Operate balloon pumps and ensure patient safety
Maintain sterile field and equipment, and collaborate with a team of two techs and an RN

Qualifications

Current ARRT certification required
Active California fluoroscopy license required
Current BLS certification from AHA required
At least 1-2 years of recent cath lab experience
Comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation
Experience with cardiac drips and balloon pumps
Ability to take call on a rotating basis

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cath lab procedures and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency in scrubbing and assisting in interventional cases
Understanding of conscious sedation and airway management
Familiarity with cardiac drips and balloon pumps
Experience with fluoroscopy and radiation safety
Skills in cardiac, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions
