Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); includes every third weekend and every other holiday. Night/overnight coverage with float responsibility to acute floors as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to complex ICU patients with confidence and compassion
• Continuously monitor and assess patient status, recognizing and escalating changes quickly
• Administer medications, advanced treatments, and interventions according to orders and protocols
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions when needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Be prepared to float to acute care floors to support patient needs and maintain continuity of care
• Participate in competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ability to verify license/certification as required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications
• ICU experience and comfort managing critically ill adults
• Willingness to work rotating night shifts, every third weekend, and every other holiday
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and advanced patient monitoring
• Acute care and ICU-specific interventions
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience floating to acute floors and adapting to different patient populations
• Familiarity with competency testing and skills checklists
• Clear communication and teamwork under pressure
