Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory assessment, treatment and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiency and acute pulmonary conditions
• Manage and operate mechanical ventilation including Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Perform ABG analysis and adjust therapies based on objective data and clinical judgment
• Deliver noninvasive support such as CPAP/BiPAP and administer nebulizer therapy and CPT
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement effective respiratory care plans
• Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient outcomes and workflow

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years current acute care hospital RRT experience (explicit requirement)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred by leadership
• Familiarity with trauma patients and critical care respiratory procedures is a plus
• Demonstrated teamwork, critical thinking and patient-centered care approach

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
• ABG interpretation and respiratory assessment
• CPAP/BiPAP administration and noninvasive ventilation
• Nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical record
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
