Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory care for a diverse outpatient and inpatient population
• Conduct Pulmonary Function Testing, Stress Testing, and EEG testing with accuracy and attention to detail
• Respond to neonatal and pediatric needs using NRP and PALS protocols when required
• Provide advanced airway management and emergency response per ACLS/BLS standards
• Document patient care thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record (EPIC experience preferred)
• Educate patients and families on testing procedures, home therapies, and follow-up plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and throughput
• Maintain equipment, ensure quality control for testing, and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider certification
• At least 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patient population
• Experience with outpatient testing: Stress Tests, Pulmonary Function Testing, and EEG testing
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to schedule changes

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge in respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostics
• Skilled in Pulmonary Function Testing and Stress Testing protocols
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric support and high-risk delivery settings (preferred)
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic health records (preferred)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (preferred)
• Bilingual Spanish skills for enhanced patient communication (preferred)
• Excellent clinical documentation and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
