Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, using therapeutic procedures to restore strength and mobility
- Deliver therapeutic modalities and assistive device training to improve function and relieve pain
- Implement individualized treatment plans to increase range of motion, coordination, and body alignment
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safe mobility techniques, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with the rehab team to ensure continuity of care and advocate for patient-centered outcomes
- Maintain equipment, ensure a safe treatment environment, and follow applicable State Practice Act guidelines
Qualifications
- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) with a valid California PTA license
- Ability to perform direct patient care using therapeutic procedures, modalities, and assistive devices
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Available for full-time day shifts as indicated in the posting
Education
- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program
