Bill Rate: $50,000 sign-on bonus (paid over 24 months)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care for open-heart and cardiovascular surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate seamless operative flow
Maintain sterile technique and manage CVOR-specific instruments and equipment with precision
Participate in call rotation for open heart cases and respond professionally and promptly when needed
Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives; contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence
Mentor and support junior staff as part of the clinical ladder and growth-focused team environment

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Minimum 3 years operating room experience required, with cardiac/open-heart experience mandatory
BSN preferred; candidates willing to obtain BSN within three years of hire will be considered
Ability to work predominantly day shifts with mid-shift flexibility and participate in open-heart call rotation

Education

BSN preferred (or commitment to obtain BSN within three years of hire)

Knowledge & Skills

Operating Room procedures and perioperative nursing for cardiac cases
Cardiac surgery and open-heart (CVOR) experience
Patient-centered perioperative care and surgical team collaboration
Comfort with shift-based scheduling, call coverage, and clinical ladder expectations
