Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment plans to help patients reach their highest level of function
• Design and administer therapeutic exercise and activity programs to improve strength, range of motion, and fine motor coordination
• Instruct patients and families in adaptive techniques, ADL training, and safe transfer methods to promote independence
• Perform home assessments and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Fabricate and recommend splints and train patients in the use of upper-extremity prosthetic devices when appropriate
• Maintain timely, accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental standards
• Collaborate with community agencies, schools, nursing homes, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Participate in department quality improvement activities and required staff education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid WA State Occupational Therapist license required (or in the process of obtaining)
• One year of experience preferred; new grads are welcome to apply
• Ability to complete mandatory education and maintain regulatory requirements
• Professional appearance and reliable punctual attendance
• Comfortable using electronic documentation and checking/responding to email as needed

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluations, treatment planning, therapeutic exercises, splinting and adaptive equipment
• Experience with home assessments and designing home programs
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, analyze and produce professional reports and correspondence
• Comfort with basic mathematical concepts (percentages, ratios) relevant to clinical documentation
• Sound clinical reasoning and problem-solving in varied patient scenarios
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
