Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct pharmacy operations for assigned sites, ensuring safe, efficient medication distribution and high-quality clinical services.
• Collaborate with the system pharmacy leadership team to analyze problems, develop solutions, and drive operational improvements across the region.
• Support the Director of Pharmacy in developing and implementing policies, procedures, quality assurance initiatives, and performance standards.
• Manage financial and budgetary responsibilities for assigned sites, monitoring productivity, expenses, and outcomes to meet targets.
• Lead human resources activities including hiring, staff development, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and promoting partner engagement and morale.
• Serve on Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, and Nursing/Pharmacy committees to advocate for best practices and system improvements.
• Partner with information systems teams to optimize pharmacy information management systems, charge systems, and inventory control processes.
• Act as a hands-on pharmacy leader who can perform pharmacy manager duties as needed and step in to ensure continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university (required).
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent work experience.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Wisconsin (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in pharmacy operations.
• Proven experience with policy and procedure development, quality assurance, and performance management.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills with medical staff and multidisciplinary teams.

Education

• PharmD from an accredited college or university
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration preferred or equivalent experience

• Pharmacy operations and medication safety best practices
• Financial and budget management for pharmacy services
• Inventory management and pharmacy information systems
• Regulatory compliance and quality assurance frameworks
• HR management including hiring, development, and performance evaluation
• Experience participating in Pharmacy and Therapeutics and safety committees
• Ability to translate clinical and operational data into actionable improvement plans
• Collaborative leadership and stakeholder engagement across sites
