Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with department protocols and regulatory standards
• Serve as the first-line interface with patients and care teams, delivering compassionate, professional imaging services
• Process and transmit images promptly and accurately to PACS to support timely clinical decision-making
• Participate in performance improvement (PI) and quality control (QC) activities to advance departmental excellence
• Ensure strict adherence to HFAP/TJC/CMS, state and federal regulations and local policies
• Maintain accurate documentation, exam logs and patient records with attention to detail
• Support departmental workflow by communicating effectively with radiologists, technologists and ancillary staff

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT(R) certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) / BCLS required
• Fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) — must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certificate — must be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT or ABHES)
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills and comfort working with PACS and image transmission systems
• Ability to pass required health screenings and immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and fluoroscopy techniques
• Image processing and transmission to PACS
• Radiographic procedures and positioning
• Regulatory compliance (HFAP/TJC/CMS, state and federal rules)
• Performance improvement and quality control (PI/QC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and patient safety practices
• Venipuncture skills and vascular access basics
• Computer proficiency and electronic medical record familiarity
• Customer service and patient communication skills
