Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams of all body parts with professional judgment and attention to radiation protection
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injectors, and alter contrast protocols by age
• Assist with interventional procedures, sterile technique, and invasive procedure preparation
• Maintain patient records, department quality assurance programs, and daily/weekly QC
• Provide safe patient transfers and age-appropriate care from newborns through geriatrics
• Serve as an active member of the imaging team: rotate shifts, take call, and step into leadership duties when needed
• Support tele-radiology transmission and consult with referring physicians
• Contribute to supply inventory, ordering, and equipment care

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency demonstration within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modalities
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and report to work within 20 minutes
• Comfortable cross-training and working in multiple imaging modalities (XR, CT, MRI, Mammography)
• Preferred: additional ARRT certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS categories

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and CT operation and protocols
• Radiation protection principles and quality assurance (QC)
• Contrast administration and automatic injector setup
• Interventional assistance and sterile technique
• Tele-radiology transmission and image transfer competency
• Patient care across the lifespan and venipuncture familiarity
• Ability to alter protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients
