Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to oncology and BMT ICU patients, keeping safety and comfort front and center
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP settings while closely monitoring respiratory status
• Titrate vasoactive drips and IV infusions with precision to stabilize hemodynamics
• Perform tracheostomy care, A-line management and complex dressing changes
• Deliver total patient care including turning, hygiene, and timely documentation in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment such as CRRT and IV pumps when indicated
• Maintain appropriate 2:1 patient ratios and escalate concerns promptly to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) title as indicated by the position; active RN licensure or eligibility to practice in TX
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience (strong ICU background required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Experience with ventilator management, titrating drips and advanced cardiac/respiratory support
• Comfortable caring for BiPAP and trach patients and performing A-line management
• CRRT and transplant experience are preferred and will make your application stand out
• Willingness to work rotating nights and weekends as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and oncology ICU experience
• Ventilator management and BiPAP competence
• Titrating vasoactive drips and advanced IV pump management
• Tracheostomy care and A-line monitoring
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) familiarity
• Meditech EMR documentation experience
• Strong communication and teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to provide compassionate, total patient care in high-acuity settings
