Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams and general diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and efficiently
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and safe operation
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to maintain smooth workflow
• Prepare and administer IV contrast and perform intravenous contrast injections per protocol
• Apply patient positioning and care best practices to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform quality assurance checks and maintain radiation safety and protection standards
• Follow ARRT Standards of Ethics, department policies, and Enloe Medical Center core values
• Communicate results, findings, and patient needs clearly with the radiology team and clinical staff

Qualifications

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) required
• Approved CPR certification required
• ARRT certification required or to be obtained; Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Desired: current radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification
• Desired: current ARRT license and State fluoro permit
• Desired: advanced CT certification
• Desired experience: two years diagnostic x-ray and one year CT experience preferred

Education

• Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California
• Approved CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and diagnostic radiography expertise
• Intravenous contrast administration and venipuncture skills
• Patient care and safe patient positioning
• Radiation protection and safety practices
• Quality assurance and image optimization techniques
• Operation and troubleshooting of CT and X-ray equipment
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
