Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients across the lifespan and develop individualized nursing diagnoses
• Create, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care plans
• Provide direct Med-Surg nursing care with attention to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate and lead with ancillary staff and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Monitor patient progress and intervene promptly when changes in condition occur
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Serve as an advocate and educator for patients and their families to support recovery and wellness

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license required (Compact allowed; license must be active at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg nursing experience (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIH/NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to work nights and adapt to rotating assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and nursing diagnosis skills
• Proven Med-Surg clinical skills and safe medication administration
• Care planning across the lifespan: infants through geriatrics
• Leadership and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and situational awareness on 12-hour night shifts
