Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care during labor and delivery, assisting with high-risk births and C-sections
• Provide compassionate postpartum support and newborn assessments that make a real difference
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage medications like Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate with precision
• Circulate for C-sections and recover patients, ensuring safe outcomes every time
• Float to other facilities as needed, showcasing your versatility and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license, AHA ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate required, with Advanced preferred
• At least 3 years Labor and Delivery experience plus Postpartum expertise
• Previous travel assignment experience and ability to float
• Minimum 3 year recent full-time clinical RN L&D experience in inpatient setting

Education

• RN licensure required; BSN preferred for this dynamic teaching hospital environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring, including external/internal monitoring and IUPC
• Proficient in IV therapy, central line maintenance, and blood product administration
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and breastfeeding support
• Experienced with high-acuity obstetrics, hemorrhage management, and pain control
• Familiar with Epic charting system and AWHONN staffing guidelines
