Location: Tuba City, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 11-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 3 shifts one week/4 shifts the next

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Process specimens with precision to ensure accurate diagnostics
Perform critical testing in blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology
Report test results promptly to support quality patient care
Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and procedures
Contribute to 24-hour lab coverage, making a real difference in the community

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist certification from a nationally recognized agency within 18 months of hire
For MLT: 6 months bench experience in blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology
For MLS: 1 year clinical lab experience including rotations through key specialties

Education

MLT: High school diploma or GED plus 60 semester hours including medical lab or science courses, or military lab training
MLS: Baccalaureate degree plus 48 semester hours in medical lab technology or sciences including chemistry and biology

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in specimen processing, testing, and result reporting
Proficiency across blood bank, microbiology, chemistry, and hematology
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital lab setting
