Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate bedside care including bathing, grooming, and positioning residents to enhance their comfort
Monitor vital signs, collect specimens, and report changes promptly to ensure resident safety
Assist with patient mobility, meals, and daily activities while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
Perform ECGs and telemetry monitoring in a critical access hospital setting
Cross-train to various departments for dynamic staffing support and skill growth
Serve as a preceptor to new staff, sharing your expertise and fostering team success

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted CNA license in Alaska
Current BLS certification
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year prior experience as a CNA preferred
Ability to pass unit-specific courses like POC/waived testing

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing care and patient lifting techniques
Vital signs monitoring and ECG procedures
Telemetry monitoring and bedside care
Calm judgment in emergencies and rapid-paced environments
Caring communication with residents and families
