Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to oncology patients across diverse diagnoses including head and neck, breast, and prostate cancers
• Manage advanced radiation therapy procedures like interstitial treatments and TBI with precision and confidence
• Coordinate seamless care in a team-focused outpatient clinic setting
• Monitor and respond to patient needs including port management, IV therapies, and sepsis protocols
• Utilize EPIC documentation, Pyxis, and Aria systems to ensure top-notch record-keeping
• Perform POC testing, head and neck scope management, and telephone triage with expertise

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience - no first-time travelers
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; Chemo and OCN preferred
• Proficiency in EPIC documentation, Pyxis, Aria Data, and SBAR communication

Education

• RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in high-dose radiation therapy including interstitial, ring tandem, and TBI
• Skilled in port access, central line care, PICC management, and IV infusions
• Oncology experience with cancers like breast, lung, prostate, and more
• Strong in sepsis recognition, isolation precautions, wound care, and pain management
• Familiar with radiation safety, cytotoxic spill management, and oncologic emergencies
