Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy with precision and care
• Manage infusions for oncology, hematology, and non-oncology patients across specialties
• Perform IM subcutaneous injections and therapeutic phlebotomy expertly
• Monitor and respond to oncologic emergencies like anaphylaxis and extravasation
• Provide compassionate symptom management for nausea, neuropathy, and more
• Educate and support patients and families through their treatment journey
• Handle central lines, ports, PICC care, and infusion pumps confidently

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington
• Chemo certification required (ONS/ONCC)
• BLS certification
• OCN preferred
• Experience in infusion centers and outpatient oncology (inpatient oncology may be considered)
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4

Education

• RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• IV therapy and infusions including port management and PICC care
• Biotherapy, cytotoxic therapy, and side effect recognition
• Chemotherapy administration, monitoring, and spill management
• Oncologic emergency response like tumor lysis syndrome
• Symptom management for common cancer-related issues
• Psychosocial care and patient/family education
• Neutropenic precautions and isolation protocols
