Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Weekends required, Rotating schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert respiratory care in adult critical care and emergency settings
Manage ventilators like GE and Hamilton models with confidence
Administer life-saving medications including aerosols, nebulizers, and inhaled therapies
Perform airway management, extubations, and tracheostomy care to improve patient outcomes
Interpret ABGs accurately to guide critical decisions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a large academic medical center

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
Active OH State License required
BLS and ACLS certifications
CRT experience welcome
High School Diploma and College Diploma or transcripts
2+ years of experience, previous travel experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma required
College Diploma or transcripts required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation weaning
Skilled in aerosol setups, MDI, and high flow nasal cannula
Expertise with medications like Albuterol, Nitric Oxide, and Pulmicort
Strong in airway suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and sputum collection
Able to troubleshoot high pressure alarms and manage tracheostomy care
