Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic Family Birthing Center
Manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care for patients 35 weeks and above
Perform circulating duties in the OR during C-sections
Titrate medications like Pitocin and insulin drips as needed
Attend deliveries and stabilize newborns, including NRP resuscitation when required
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB providers and anesthesia on-call

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact state)
At least 1 year of recent LDRP experience (3+ years preferred)
Comfortable with circulating in OR and catching the baby
Willing to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
Able to respond within 30 minutes when on call or standby

Knowledge & Skills

ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required
Proficiency in LDRP, L&D, and mother/baby couplet care
Experience with titratable drips (Pitocin, insulin)
Skilled in fetal monitoring using Fetalink system
Understanding of AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratios
