Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Overnight (NOC), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight schedule; days as scheduled)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient status accurately
Assist nursing staff with transfers, mobility, and safe patient handling
Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the care team
Support patients and families with empathy, dignity, and respect

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Dependable, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled at assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
