Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening / 2nd Shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote dignity and independence
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Support mobility and fall-prevention measures, including safe transfers
Document patient care and communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
Build meaningful rapport with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on experience with ADLs and patient hygiene
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
Good documentation practices and clear communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with geriatric populations
