Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, preserving dignity and independence
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and accurately document vital signs and changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns
Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Follow individualized care plans and collaborate closely with the nursing team
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Engage residents in social interaction and meaningful activities to promote wellbeing

Qualifications

Required: Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)
Preferred: Current CPR/BLS certification
Comfortable assisting with transfers and basic resident care
Reliable, compassionate, and able to pass background check and health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a care team

Education

Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and elder-centered approaches
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Skilled in safe resident handling and use of mobility aids
Good communication skills for interacting with residents and families
Basic documentation/charting skills and attention to detail
