Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Monitor, document, and report patient conditions and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support the care team by following care plans, communicating changes, and escalating concerns
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire depending on facility requirements
• Comfortable providing hands-on care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a fast-paced clinical environment
• Background check and any facility-required screenings completed as part of onboarding

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of patient hygiene, safe transfer techniques, and ADL assistance
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control best practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
