Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (days not specified)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Support safe mobility and transfers while promoting independence
Observe and promptly report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team
Maintain accurate care documentation and follow care plans
Help create a comfortable, clean, and respectful living environment
Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

GNA certification (required) or equivalent state certification
Active state GNA registration or eligibility to register
CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Ability to observe and report changes in health status
Good teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
