Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents to maintain dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Support meal times and nutrition needs, including safe feeding assistance when required
Help maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for residents
Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in good standing
Basic CPR and first aid certification preferred or willing to obtain
Demonstrated experience working with older adults, nursing home, or long-term care settings a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and safety practices
Skilled in personal care tasks and safe resident handling
Familiarity with infection control and hygiene standards
Good observation skills for changes in resident behavior or condition
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with dementia or mobility-limited residents
