Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, days not specified (day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility to promote dignity and independence
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime assistance and feeding when needed, respecting dietary plans
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team
Document care accurately and contribute to individualized care plans

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
High school diploma or GED preferred
Background check and TB screening clearances as required by facility
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

High School Diploma or GED
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident-centered care
Basic knowledge of vital signs and documentation standards
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
Strong interpersonal skills and patience with older adults
Teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail
