Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents using best practices
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and positioning to promote resident comfort
Observe and document resident behavior, condition changes, and care given
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and teammates to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in the state of North Carolina
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain shortly after hire)
Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and reliable attendance
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting helpful

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient-centered care and basic clinical skills
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
Good observational and documentation skills
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from the nursing team
